Maintaining impartiality is crucial, but it is equally important to be seen as impartial. This perception is built by collecting objective evidence and making decisions based solely on that evidence. Impartiality is further safeguarded by preventing any auditor or technical committee member from participating in the audit or certification process for clients with whom they have personal connections, familiarity, or business dealings.
Statement of Impartiality
Lasermo Certification Inc. recognizes the importance of avoiding conflicts of interest and maintaining full impartiality throughout the audit and certification process. We ensure impartiality by:
- Identifying, analyzing, and documenting potential conflicts of interest and taking proactive measures to eliminate or mitigate them.
- Educating our certification personnel on how to avoid situations that could compromise impartiality.
- Requiring personnel to legally disclose any relevant information that may pose a conflict of interest.
- Guaranteeing the objectivity of the certification process by employing only qualified professionals.
- Establishing an independent Impartiality Committee to oversee and enforce impartiality in the audit and certification process.

Our mechanism for ensuring Impartiality
To oversee matters related to the credibility and impartiality of the auditing and certification process, we have formed a "Committee for Safeguarding Impartiality." To maintain impartiality in its structure and operations, all committee members are independent professionals from outside the Certification Body. These individuals represent various stakeholders invested in a fair audit and certification process. Any breaches in the process are noted, and corrective or preventive actions are taken. If the Certification Body fails to act appropriately, the Impartiality Committee has the authority to escalate the issue to regulatory bodies. The CEO participates in committee meetings as a non-voting member to provide necessary information and ensure the committee's decisions are implemented.
